Virtulux is a virtual gaming festival which incorporates virtual reality equipment. We wanted to create a festival not yet available on the market, that would solve the issue of gamers being unable to attend events in our current climate, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The way the event would work, is participants would purchase tickets to the event which would provide them with a unique code to enter on our website or mobile app on the days of the festival.
Participants can use either their own VR equipment or use the cardboard VR set provided by us with the purchase of their ticket which they can use with their mobile device. My role in this project was to research advertising and marketing as well as designing the merch mock-ups and the branding
HOW HAVE SUCCESSFUL GAMES SHAPED THE WAY GAME COMPANIES WORK?
This report's specific topic came about due to our interest in the sudden popularity of games. One recent example being the American game ‘Among Us’, which saw growth during the COVID-19 lockdowns as a way to spend time with friends virtually. We go in dept about what factors can help make a game release successful as well what industry jobs seem to be most sought after. My job was researching industry roles of 5 different British game companies and combining the data in an Excel spreadsheet as well as designing the entire report including all graphs and branding.
